Stratal Shift

Layered zones of color are interrupted by uneven boundaries where material thickens, thins, and shifts direction. Acrylic and graphite accumulate along edges, creating areas of compression and release within each stratum. White passages separate layers without dissolving them, maintaining distinction while allowing irregular overlap. The composition reads as a disrupted stack, where structure is held through repetition and controlled interruption rather than continuity.
