Ribbed Bands

Saturated color bands are built from dense, directional marker strokes that produce a ribbed surface. These bands stack and press against one another, creating zones of compression where color thickens and darkens. Repeated linear marks reinforce the band structure while introducing variation in density and edge. The composition emphasizes surface, pressure, and accumulation rather than blend or transition.
