Fault Color explores color under pressure. Acrylic marker and graphite divide the surface into interlocking planes, where warm and cool tones press against one another along visible seams. Rather than blending, color holds its ground—fracturing, shifting, and reorganizing through line. The composition suggests a moment of emergence, as if structure itself is being negotiated in real time. Both analytical and expressive, Fault Color reflects the Color Studies series' interest in color as a force that shapes space, tension, and form.
